Deed Watch is a free property fraud alert service offered by the Caldwell County Recorder of Deeds that allows property owners to monitor activity recorded under selected names. By registering with a valid email address at www.deedwatch.com, selecting Caldwell County, and entering the verification code sent to your valid email, users can add any variation of their name, a spouse’s name, or any name they wish to monitor. When a document is recorded under one of the selected names, an email alert is sent allowing the individual to confirm any transactions.
Deed Watch is an alert and monitoring service only; it does not prevent documents from being recorded, validate the legality of documents, or replace legal advice.
